A Brief History

From the Byzantines to the Tudors, social celebrations and gruesome sports entertained high society on the palace grounds, until the end of the English Civil War in 1651.

In the 1890s, restoration plans were agreed and work finished in the 1930s, boasting features such as the Medieval hammer beam roof in the great hall and examples of design influences at the time - Art Deco.

Art Deco Influences

However, it’s the domed entrance hall and stylish Art Deco interiors at Eltham Palace which draw particular attention. A mixture of modern Art Deco influences and cutting-edge Swedish design impress the eye from every angle.

The Art Deco interiors boast maple veneer walls, aluminium-leaf ceilings and stylish black and silver doors.
